The Mission of the Education Vicariate is to assist in the implementation of the Bishop’s Vision for the Educational Mission of the Diocese of Charlotte. The love of Christ impels us to transmit the Gospel and thus invite people to a personal and intentional faith in Jesus Christ. The programs offer the knowledge and spirituality of how to live the Catholic faith with coherent integrity: to be loyal and joyful members of the family of the Catholic Church nourished by the sacramental encounters with the Lord. The sacramental life of the Catholic faith enables Catholics to be responsible citizens of the world with eyes set on that which is above - eternal life. This offers the opportunity to be respecting and responsible citizens of any land and culture who share the Gospel message of faith, reason, grace and excellence in virtue. Programs are provided through the Offices of: Adult Education/Evangelization, Campus/Young Adult Ministry, Catholic Schools, Faith Formation, Media, and Youth Ministry.

“…the definitive aim of catechesis is to put people not only in touch but in communion, in intimacy, with Jesus Christ...” (Catechesi Tradendae, 5)

Please visit the other pages of the Education Vicariate webpage for information on programs and policies. If you do not find what you are looking for, please call Pat Onaindia at 704-370-3244. We want to assist you in any way we are able.

Asking our Lord's blessings upon you and with an assurance of prayer,

Fr. Arnsparger
